Mefenacet is a systemic herbicide. It is mainly absorbed through the bud sheath and roots, absorbed through the xylem and roots, and transmitted to the young shoots and leaves of weeds through the xylem and phloem, preventing the division and elongation of cells at the weed growth point, and eventually causing plant death.
It is mainly used to control grass weeds in rice fields, and is particularly effective against barnyardgrass from the bud to the 2-leaf stage, and is also effective against other weeds such as duckweed.
