How to control thrips - mixed formulation
In the previous article, we learned which pesticide are effective against thrips and the principles of pesticide preparation. Then, based on this, we recommend several highly effective formulas for reference:
Spinosad + Thiocyclam |
It has both fast-acting and long-lasting effects, and is effective against highly resistant thrips |
Spinetoram + Thiamethoxam |
Spinetobactin is fast-acting and strong, thiamethoxam is systemic and long-lasting. The combination of the two is effective against highly resistant thrips. |
Thiamethoxam + Thiocyclam |
The systemic properties of thiamethoxam and the rapid effect of thethiocyclam can improve the control effect of thrips. |
Acetamiprid + Flonicamid |
It not only kills thrips, but also has a good effect on aphids, fast-acting + long-lasting |
Dinotefuran + Spirotetramat |
The effect of preventing and controlling thrips is good. Dinotefuran has good fast-acting effect and spirotetramat has good systemic absorption. The combination of the two also has a good effect on highly resistant thrips |
Alpha-cypermethrin + Thiamethoxam |
It is mainly used for thrips with medium and low resistance, and has good effects. It can be used for fruit trees and field crops. |
To prevent and control resistant thrips, we need to choose the right pesticide and the right method, such as:
1. When spraying, add a glucose tube to the sprayer. The sweet taste can attract thrips to feed, thereby improving the efficiency of pest control.
2. Thrips tend to be tender, so when spraying, the key parts are flower organs, leaf backs, tender leaves and young buds.
3. Because thrips are nocturnal and good at hiding, it is better to spray in the morning or evening.
4. Choose systemic pesticides, add silicone additives, and try to choose pesticides with a long lasting effect.
5. If the cost is acceptable, the combination of foliar spraying and underground flushing can eliminate thrips more efficiently and thoroughly.
